Welcome to QLoJo.
QLoJo (Quality Local Jobs) is Africa’s open collaboration platform for designing, building, and launching local enterprises that fulfill unmet needs and replace imports in Africa.
Our goal is to create 700 million quality local jobs, reach $50,000 per capita GDP, and drive 100× skill upgrades by 2034, one locally owned enterprise at a time.
Every QLoJo project begins as a public idea, evolves through community collaboration, and matures into a registered enterprise.
This guide explains how to participate, earn, and grow within the ecosystem.
Your Role in the QLoJo System
| Role | What You Do | Main Tools |
|---|---|---|
| Contributor | Propose or perform tasks, submit deliverables, and receive invoices. Contributors earn invoices based on task-specific quality rubrics, which determine payout within the stated range. | Task cards/invoice templates |
| Validator | Independently review and verify deliverables for completeness and accuracy. | Validation Template. |
| Moderator | Check template use and policy compliance, and approve claim progression. | Moderator Response Template |
| Enterprise Team | Register and operate resulting businesses once viable. | Charter Bundle / Legal Docs |
| Backer/Factor | Provide full or partial prepayment for validated invoices within the private enterprise network. | Invoice Claim/Prepayment/Factor Form. |
Where to Start
-
Create an account: Join QLoJo
-
Read the Terms & Conditions and Community Standards QLoJo T&Cs.
-
Introduce yourself: Post in the
New Member Lounge. -
Pick a project: Explore active threads.
-
Pick a task that matches your skills and propose your approach using the Task Claim Template.
Contribution Process
1. Pitch a Task
- Reply to the task card thread with your Task Claim Template.
Moderators confirm alignment, serialization, and feasibility.
2. Deliver and Submit
- After approval, complete the work and submit deliverables in the task card thread using the Task Submission Template.
3. Validation
- Two independent validators and QLoJoGPT AI co-review confirm outputs match the approved scope.
- Each validator earns 1% of the invoice value (as a validation fee deducted from the invoice amount).
4. Canonical Invoice Record
- Once validated, a Canonical Invoice Record is compiled to unify the entire lifecycle: Claim → Submission → Validation.
- This record becomes the official ledger entry for traceability and future payment.
Invoice Management & Liquidity Options
Contributors retain ownership of their validated invoices and may choose either to hold or assign them for early payment.
A. Hold to Maturity
-
Wait for the enterprise to form and adopt (“novate”) your invoice as payable.
-
Payment occurs once the enterprise generates revenues.
-
Contributors at that stage may qualify for employment or share purchase options as defined by the enterprise board and advisers.
-
Contributors may also become eligible for discounted community allocations (2–5% of initial equity at a 10–20% discount), depending on the enterprise’s discretion and applicable law.
B. Private Pre-Payment / Factoring
-
You may sell your invoice or receive early payment from a verified participant (backer or factor).
-
The buyer pays a discounted amount and acquires the right to collect full value when due.
-
This is an ordinary commercial assignment of receivables.
-
The enterprise is not a party to this transaction but records the updated invoice holder for transparency.
-
All prepayments must be documented within the task claim template and visible to moderators.
Legal Notice:
Such transactions are private commercial agreements between participants. They do not constitute public offers, investment solicitations, or financial securities.
Invoice Serialization System
Each invoice uses a five-segment serialization for traceability:
QLJ–AA–BB–CCC–DD–EEE
| Segment | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| AA | Human Need Area | 01 = Food & Agriculture |
| BB | Product Family | 01 = Poultry |
| CCC | Product/Enterprise Line | 001 = BSF Poultry Feeds |
| DD | Bioregion/Corridor | 01 = Nairobi–Mombasa–Lamu |
| EEE | Invoice Serial | Unique task ID under that enterprise |
Example: QLJ-01-01-001-01-005 → 5th validated invoice under BSF Poultry Feeds in Nairobi–Mombasa–Lamu.
Invoice Lifecycle
| Stage | Description | Responsible Role |
|---|---|---|
| Claim | The contributor proposes a task and budget. | Contributor |
| Validation | Deliverables verified by two validators and AI co-review. | Validators |
| Approval | The moderator confirms the format and ledger readiness. | Moderator |
| Canonical Record | The invoice was compiled into the enterprise ledger. | Moderator/System |
| Novation | A registered enterprise assumes liability. | Enterprise Team |
Open Licensing & IP Rights
QLoJo operates under the QLoJo Open License, a hybrid of CC BY / MIT / CERN-OHL.
That means:
-
Everything you post can be reused and adapted with attribution.
-
When an enterprise forms, your contributions may be licensed into it transparently.
-
If you own registered IP (patents, trademarks, or designs), you may issue IP license invoices offering usage rights to enterprises with defined terms. defining: (scope, region, term, royalty/fee, ownership retention)
Community Standards
We follow a “High Trust, High Transparency” policy.

Moderation & Approvals
QLoJo uses a smart-gate moderation system to balance openness and quality.
| Category | Moderation Rule |
|---|---|
| Enterprise Proposals | The enterprise proposal is read-only. Updates happen only via moderators using validated evidence. To contribute or earn, claim and work on tasks linked in the Task Ledger. |
| Task Cards | To keep things consistent, the task card is what we follow if there’s any conflict. |
| Invoice Claim, Submissions & Validation | Replies to the task cards require moderator approval. |
| Community Lounge & Learning | Posts auto-publish. |
| Staff & Moderator Guides | Staff-only visibility. |
New users’ first three posts are reviewed automatically. Once you reach Trust Level 2, your posts appear instantly in all open categories.
Reporting & Disputes
If you see an issue:
-
Flag the post → choose “Something Else” and describe the concern clearly.
-
Contact moderators via @moderators.
-
Escalation: unresolved issues may go to the Community Mediation Panel.
Payment after Enterprise Formation
-
Once a project reaches the Prototype → Pilot → Enterprise stage, invoices validated during development can be novated (adopted) by the new enterprise.
-
Payment and royalties depend on the enterprise’s capacity, not QLoJo’s.
-
Contributors remain visible and credited through the on-chain ledger even before payment.
-
If invoices remain unpaid at launch, the enterprise may apply a commercial late-payment fee (typically 1%–1.5% per month).
Community Launch Allocations (Optional, Enterprise-Driven)
If permitted by law, an enterprise may reserve:
-
2–5% of initial equity
-
Offered to contributors, validators, funders
-

This is not guaranteed and is
-
optional
-
enterprise-led
-
off-platform
-
subject to legal compliance
-
limited by contributor eligibility rules

-
Use “Open for Collaboration” instead of “Funding Now.”

Closing Note
NFT invoices are the backbone of QLoJo’s coordination system. By keeping obligations clear and aligned with enterprise incorporation, we protect contributors, enterprises, and the integrity of the ecosystem.
Remember: QLoJo records → Enterprise pays.
Important Risk Notice
Participation in QLoJo is voluntary and taking part in projects projects does not guarantee that a proposed enterprise will be incorporated, or that an incorporated enterprise will achieve financial capacity to pay contributors. Invoices are provisional records until incorporation, and even after incorporation, payment depends entirely on the enterprise’s ability to generate and deploy resources. Contributors should be aware that there is no guarantee of payment.
